Bill Morgan, CPA, President

A Grand Rapids native, Bill has performed audits and created tax strategies for dozens of profit and non-profit organizations, plus hundreds of individuals and families to help them Buy, Grow or Sell their business. He is a veteran of non-profit audit compliance with a keen understanding of non-profit governance and the public and private funding sources on whose behalf the vast majority of our non-profit client audits are performed. He holds several certifications such as Charter Global Management Accountant, Certified Information Technology Professional, Accredited Business Valuator. Before becoming a public accountant, he launched and ran a successful mortgage company. Bill is an entrepreneur at heart and is always looking to improve the overall experience of his clients and friends.
He spends his spare time reading, golfing and walking his dog.
Donald D. Morgan, CPA, Vice President
University of Southern Mississippi, BS
A native of Chicago, Don has been practicing accounting for over 35 years. In that time he has performed hundreds of audits and advised thousands of clients on a wide variety of tax and other personal and corporate financial matters. He is a licensed CPA. He was formerly treasurer of storied West Michigan furniture manufacturer American Seating Company.
James T. Cook, CPA, Tax/Accounting Manager
James has been with Morgan & Morgan since 2010. In his role as Tax/Accounting Manager, he is responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, non-profit, and individual returns. James also handles complex accounting and bookkeeping work for a variety of clients in several industries, tax resolution for entities and individuals, and implementation and support for various client accounting software systems. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University with concentrations in accounting and economics. James is also a Certified Public Accountant and has been a QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2011. In his free time, James enjoys soccer, golf, rock climbing, and movies.
Dona Maslanka, FPC, Payroll/Office Manager
Dona joined the firm in 2008 as Payroll and Office Manager. She recently has accepted the Bookkeeping manager role as well and in her role, she is responsible for running the firm’s payroll and bookkeeping Divisions. In this role Dona handles payroll processing, tax payments, reconciliations, cash flow management and Financial Reporting for a diversified client base servicing over 100 businesses with their payroll and bookkeeping needs. Dona also handles the firm’s accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources, client account management, general office management, and other administrative tasks. With years of experience handling payroll, Dona is well versed in payroll for all 50 states, specializing in the Midwest Region. She holds a FPC certification, and is training for her CPP which is the highest accreditation possible for payroll. Dona is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in Desktop and Online.
In her free time, she enjoys cooking, wine tasting, traveling, watching U.S. football and rugby, golfing and shoe shopping.
Blair Kronner, Senior Office Administrator
Blair Kronner joined Morgan & Morgan CPAs in April 2016 to provide administrative support to the Tax & Payroll Departments. Blair moved to Grand Rapids in 2010 and earned a B.S. degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management in 2012 from Grand Valley State University. With over 8 years of customer service experience, Blair offers clients high level of service as she guides them through our tax processes. When she’s not at work, she’s either at a hot yoga class or tending to her garden.
Heidi Callen, Bookkeeper
Heidi attended Grand Rapids Community College and joined Morgan and Morgan CPAs in April 2016. Heidi has several years of experience in bookkeeping and offers a wealth of knowledge to a diversified Client base. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her dog, family, and friends and being outdoors, playing softball, fishing and hunting.
Jen Dykstra, Payroll Processor/Bookkeeper
Jen Dykstra is a native of Grand Rapids, MI, graduating from Grand Rapids Christian High School. She attended Grand Rapids Community College majoring in business and photography. She became part of the Morgan and Morgan Team in November 2016 and has provided valued Bookkeeping and Payroll Assistance to a variety of Clients. Jen has 20 years’ experience as a bookkeeper specializing in real estate development as well as retail. When Jen is not working she is enjoying time with her dog or snapping photos as part of her passion.
Eric Stage, Senior Staff Accountant
Eric Stage joined Morgan & Morgan CPAs in December 2016 as a Senior Tax Accountant. In this role, Mr. Stage is responsible for preparing Corporate, Partnership, Non‐Profit, Estate, Personal Property Tax Returns, and Individual Returns. Eric is also responsible for creating sound Taxation plans for Businesses and Individuals. Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan CPAs, Mr. Stage was at McKinley, INC. where he was responsible for Real Estate Taxation. Mr. Stage is a graduate of Michigan Technological University where he earned his degree in Accounting. In his free time, Eric enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, working out, and spending time with his family.
Jason Bankston, Senior Staff Accountant
Former IRS Representative, Jason Bankston joined the Morgan & Morgan Tax Department in October 2017 as a Senior Tax Accountant. Mr. Bankston’s prior employment as a Federal Employee provides clients a unique and knowledgeable background in collection services which Jason utilizes when preparing tax returns. Aside from Jason’s distinguishing skill set, he is a proud Michigander from the Downriver area who enjoys camping, watching sports and spending time with his family.
