Morgan & Associates understands that many of its nonprofit clients view audit compliance as a necessary evil required to attain the funding that will allow them to better serve their constituents. We are not the “Bad Guys.” Our goal is to provide a true value-added experience that will position your organization for better financial performance and make it more competitive for grants and other new funding sources.
Morgan & Associates has extensive experience in nonprofit accounting, currently providing audit and tax return services to a growing number of well-regarded organizations in the West Michigan area and nationwide. The firm has 17 years of experience providing assurance and tax services to companies in the nonprofit sector. This work includes consulting, strategic planning, design of internal controls, preparation of IRS-990 tax filings, GAAP financial audits and other tax and assurance services. The majority of our nonprofit clients receive state and/or federal grant money which must be accounted for in a single audit according to OMB Circular A-133.
In our opinion, the stakeholders of our many current nonprofit clients have confidence in the viability of these organizations because they have confidence in Morgan & Associates. We believe the root of that confidence is the continued success of our clients and the strength of the internal controls we have tested on their behalf. In a larger sense, Morgan & Associates belongs to the same family of stakeholders. Nonprofit organizations are a core part of our business. Our continued viability is largely dependent upon our reputation within the nonprofit community.
